Christchurch Is Still a Beautiful City in My Mind

I am sure you have been informed that Christchurch suffered a 6.3magnitude earthquake on this Tuesday afternoon, the local time. This earthquake, according to the newspaper I read yesterday, is the country’s biggest disaster in the last 8 decades. The rescue team in Christchurch is striking to search for those lost in the wreckage. Apart from this, foreign rescue team workers arrived to join the search in Christchurch before the time is running out for survivors. Anyway, the chance to find survivor is rather slim. Not only is the people who are still in the wreckage but also their relatives suffering great pain. You cannot believe the damage in this city, which was once a beautiful place when I visited it last year.

Located the east coast of the South Island, Christchurch has all the amenities of a modern city, just like any city in America. You can see people wear stylish clothes walking in the street with a fashionable iphone cover in hand; you will also feel that Christchurch is a regional center. Its famous Gothic revival cathedral, grey-stone nineteenth century buildings, tree-lined avenues and extensive leafy parks have preserved the grace and charm of an earlier era, which has been attracting tourists all over the world for ages. Spending a whole day in this featured place, visitors are able to enjoy such exotic scenery.

Christchurch is alive with bright color, atmosphere and world-class attractions, which is also a graceful city that values its culture and heritage, but offers a year round range of fresh and exciting adventures and activities. The city is full of delights, from the beautiful neo-gothic Arts Centre, to the historic tram which loops the city centre, to the Christchurch Gondola and unique attractions like the International Antarctic Centre. The shopping is superb and the restaurants are a celebration of fresh, natural New Zealand foods and fine wines. Great shopping malls in Christchurch are no difference from that in any modern cities. A variety of electronic items can be found easily such as cell phone, mp3 player, flash drives, and emergency battery. If you have more interests in little gizmos, then the small stores in the streets are the ideal places for you. I bought several flashlights with unusual design.

Noted for its high achievement in gardening, Christchurch is also a perfect place for events and festivals. Whatever the season you come to visit, you'll find a non-stop program of entertainment with events like the Festival of Romance, winter Arts Festival, and Showtime Canterbury in November. These exotic festivals leave deep impression on you; on the other hand, it will be regretful if you miss them.

It is pretty convenient in Christchurch as it contains one of the two main international airports for the country, and is connected via a tunnel to a seaport at Littleton on Bank's Peninsula. It is widely regarded as the Gateway to the South Island and is the perfect place to base your New Zealand holiday. I suggest you spend much time on the things that surround you and take enough photos as I spent time on sightseeing rather than taking photos last year.

Obsessed with Chinese Culture through Chinese Tea

Do you drink tea? Do you know where tea comes from?

China is known as the birthplace of tea and history of tea culture. I never thought that I could approach to this before until I took a journey in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province of China. Nowadays, many Chinese people begin to learn about the tea culture to access to elegance, and tea has become one of the famous beverages all over the world. Foreigners turn up their thumb to this drink and speak highly of it. And the National Tea Museum in Hangzhou is a nice place presenting tea culture and Chinese culture to us foreigners.

Following the pretty guide with one of the mini speakers in her hand, we arrived at a museum that is fraught with tea theme. The special design left deep impression for everyone here. Moreover, a lot of Chinese characters enchased in the road made you feel exotic and impressive. That was the first time that I though Chinese culture is so great, and I found I fell in love with it from then on. Neither as mysterious as Egyptian culture nor as modern as American culture, Chinese culture impresses with its long history.

Chinese tea, as one of the characters in Chinese culture, is classified into approximately five categories according to the different methods by which it is processed.

1.Green Tea. Green tea keeps original color of the tea leaves without fermentation during processing.
2.Black Tea. Black tea is fully fermented before baking and developed on the basis of the green tea.
3.Wulong Tea. This represents the tea that is half way between the green and the black teas, being made after partial fermentation. It is a specialty from the provinces on China's southeast coast: Fujian, Guangdong and Taiwan.
4.Compressed Tea. This kind of tea black looks in color in its commercial form and is compressed and hardened into a certain shape. Most of them are in the form of bricks or bowls, or cakes. Therefore, it is good for transport and storage and travelers prefer to wholesale some and take back. Compressed tea is mainly produced in Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan and Yunnan provinces.
5.Scented Tea. This kind of tea is made by mixing fragrant flowers in the tea leaves through the course of processing. The flowers commonly used for this purpose are jasmine and magnolia among others. Jasmine tea is a well-known favorite with the northerners of China and with a growing number of foreigners. Scented tea is particularly popular among mid-aged people.

Chinese tea, along with silk and porcelain, is well-known in the world for hundreds of years and has been an important Chinese envoy introducing Chinese culture. Thanks for this travel, I have to admit that I have been obsessed with Chinese culture though the unique Chinese tea. At the end of this travel, I bought a souvenir-a VCD introducing the history of Chinese tea, which can be transformed and shared with my friends by pen drive.

Understand What Wellington Brings to Us

Every time I recall my travel with friends in Wellington, New Zealand, I cannot help tasting the beautiful sceneries and happy hours once again. Perhaps it is because that was my first travel. For everyone that stands on an unfamiliar land for the first time, he must be attracted by the most natural things. I was no exception. Sunshine stretches its arms to every corner of it on sunny days, appears on the drowsy look of people wandering along the beach; pigeons pick up the crumbs kids dropped on the square with less notice of passersby while some elderly persons whisper with breeze softening this serene picture.

The panorama in Cook Strait urged we took hundreds of photos on the third day when we arrived. And thanks for the powerful lithium batteries, I could keep such beauty in my camera and then share it with my family when back. Aboard the Inter Islander ferry, we had seen the faint hues of the sun and reached the glare of the open sea; our eyes fell closed in anticipation of a new island.

You fail to explain the beauty of Wellington because it is natural. Nestled in the heart of a glorious harbor, Wellington is on the battered sea fringes of the world but equally at the center of it too. A blend of culture approached me since tried to explore its beauty and uniqueness at dark. But for the power failure of our led flashlight, I was convinced that we cannot witness the mystery of it.

Wellington is well planned for the local people. Small architectural gems enhance the mood and space of its areas that are made to be used. A plaque over a bridge by the harbor reads: "It's true you can't live here by chance, you have to do and be, not simply watch or even describe. This is the city of action, the world headquarters of the verb"

Well, the weather in wellington is so affable that you do not really want to get any clues from weather forecast. People say Wellington turns into a true utopia immediately when the sun shines. So you prefer to feel it without knowing whether there is a storm or fierce wind in next minute. Apparently, this is not easy for those who are always dependent on weather forecast every day in their own cities.

Having a bird eye view from the top of Mount Victoria, you find yourself indulging in another perspective on our time. The height connects you with Wellingtonian’s various attitudes and ways of living in this city. Isn’t this magic? Unleashing heavy backpack, we refreshed again by a bottle of plain drink. Just forget all of fatigue and breathe deeply. Impressed by such a moment, I wrote several words on my notebook to remember it. And when comparing the photos I took with those downloaded in my usb device, I began to understand why I can find more from mine-it is because I came here, saw it and had my own understanding of it.

Is Mom’s Gift Ready?

When I was 5 year old, my mother decided me needed some elegance and art. She bought a piano as my birthday and started taking me to the training courses. Although I spent less in playing the piano as time passed by and had slim chance to become a pianist, I still thank my dear mother for this gift and her love. Playing piano is now one of my favorite hobbies.

I am exerting all my wits to choose a right gift to her 50th birthday in this April. As you know, mom's birthday is a perfect time to honor her with a heartfelt gift. I believe your mother may appreciate any gifts you choose for her. So there is no excuse for spending time choosing a special birthday gift that shows your thanks and your love. What will you do when your mom’s birthday draws near? You’d better have a read the following passages if there is still a mess in your mind.

1.Great birthday gifts for mom. Take your mom’s lifestyle and personality into consideration. Understanding her hobbies and daily routine helps you to easily choose a right birthday gift that she'll truly value. Does she usually talk about her trekking with her close friends? Then buy her one of the latest flashlights, which would be of great help when they go out for an adventure.
2.Pay attention to what she is focusing on recently, which can be taken notes for your future references. Does she like play her iPhone? Then a stylish iphone cover may let her excited. And if the present just provide the spark for her newly found creativity, how excited she will be.
3.Rule out obvious blunders. Save time by eliminating the need to search for products she'll never use or appreciate. For example, avoid looking for the electronic products like flash drives if she if she feels hard to accept Newie. In addition, you do not have to waste your time on ruby jewelry if she detests the color red. After all, it is mom's birthday, and trying to reinvent the wheel can cause you unnecessary headache when choosing a suitable birthday gift.
4.Use your mom's eyes when choosing her birthday present. Although it's acceptable to choose a gift that falls outside of her normal purchases, don't make this your ultimate mission. Remember that your mom is the one who is supposed to use the gift, not you. Although it can be tempting to buy her an item that she perhaps love, doing so can make you seem pushy.
5.Find clues from past gift-giving occasions. Recall her reactions when receiving gifts that she liked and those that she disliked. Knowing her possible reactions can help you avoid giving her an underwhelming gift. Avoid giving your mom a birthday gift that she has recently received.

Now do you feel a little clear about the ways to choose gifts for your mother? If these cannot give you any help, try to get one by visiting online gifts stores.

Do You Have a Plan for Gift Giving?

Sometimes, smile is the best pill for pain and sorrow, just like the smile on my nieces’ face. Every time I see it, I feel the darkness is gone with its magic. Undoubtedly, I like the twin sisters very much not only because of their pretty looks but also their kindness. It is their birthday next month, and I am going to choose gifts for them. Considering their preferences and distinctive characters and, I have the ideas of my choices. For examples, Bernadette likes music, you can see her listen to the music whenever she is not quite busy; Lesley likes photography, collects excellent photos and videos, and shares them with the whole family. The quality noise canceling headphones absolutely suits Bernadette while an 8G flash memory can be the best gift for Lesley. I can even imagine their joy and excitement around me at this time, how can I stand their scream then?

The next thing I have to do is to find a good online store as I am always too busy to go for the local stores, and it is surely convenient to enjoy purchasing online. Generally speaking, many people have a favorite store or website, and with the advent of online business, almost everything is possible bought online. So I plan to check the great brand of noise canceling headphones with as many as positive reviews for Bernadette in order to make it a satisfactory gift. However, things will become a little bit tough when selecting for Lesley, mainly because I am not familiar with things like flash memory, digital camera, and anything that is relevant to photography. Anyway, I think this problem will be solved after my spending in searching information.

So this is my large plan to my twin nieces Bernadette and Lesley’s birthday. Do you have a plan in your mind before heading out for gifts? Actually, having the following in your mind is enough.

1.The person’s hobbies are the clues of gifts. Almost everyone has one or two hobbies in leisure time – listening to the music, watching movies, or collecting stamps. You can recommend quality suppliers for those collectors or spend in accompanying with them whenever there is a new-released movie.
2.Write down your ideas immediately. Do you have such an experience of having a perfect gift however subsequently forget it? This must be awkward when it is a spark that strikes you all of a sudden.
3.Take personalization into consideration. Have you ever thought of turning the recipient’s funny photo into a pillow, a t-shirt, iphone 3gs cases or a notebook? Nowadays there is the service that turns photos or pictures into any objects that you can name. How fantastic it is! This kind of personalized gifts must be fashionable and can be shown off among people. You can also turn photos of your family into badges, stickers, thanks card, and mug.

Obviously, IT IS EASIER SAID THAN DONE, and not a few persons would like to spend a lot on gift giving. Nevertheless, I am convinced that my gifts will be satisfied after my great effort.

Which Gift Is Appreciated?

Do you often have the idea of giving gifts to someone but without the idea what to buy? Apparently, it is somewhat awkward, isn’t it? You may be thankful if you have the great capability to choose a perfect gift for each of your loved ones. If fact, things are not so far from achieving as you imagine unless you pay no attention to what I am going to show you below.

1.You are not choosing something for yourself. Obviously, many of us always make such a mistake of choosing a gift he or she likes instead of considering whether the recipient likes it or not. For example, Penny like Hello Kitty very much, anyway it does not mean that a usb flash drive with the pattern Hello Kitty will be appreciated by her friend Sheldon, perhaps a flash drive with characters in Star War could satisfy him. In most of cases, having empathy with the recipient seems a good idea when looking for gifts.
2.Gift choosing is really challenging. So we’d better analyze the recipient from as many aspects as we can, like the age, gender, profession, and preference. Only in this way can you buy the gifts that he or she really needs and likes. What’s more, your creativity enables this process fruitful and the result worthy.
3.Pay more attention in your daily life. Observation yields much and it is helpful for your gift choosing. There must be something a person likes, in that case, he or she stops to look at, watches, and even talk about it with you excitedly. Does she always complain about her earphones recently and want to buy another one? Attention, these are the useful hints for you, and bluetooth headphones will easily solve it.
4.Choose something the person does not know about. As a matter of fact, this can be a try or risk for both of you. If the gift is something unique, it may arouse his or her interest to use, and it is the uniqueness that makes itself valuable. In addition, gizmos are loved by a lot of people, such as a puzzle ball which requires patience and carefulness to win. And the most important thing is that you can enjoy happy hours with the person. Imagine how wonderful it will be. Such special gadgets can be found online at eBay and Amazon, and moreover, they are at low price and popular among youngsters. And the t-shirts with patterns of animals, shapes, or famous characters are the hot cake online. What you need to do is spending several minutes choosing among a wide selection of special item online and find out the right one. Moreover, buying online saves you a lot of money, let you away from the traffic jam and bad air in the street, and brings much convenience.

The suggestions above relieve your stress fro gift choosing to some extent; however, there are still many factors to consider when you choose a gift if you want your gift be appreciated.

Ways to Make Your Gifts Appreciated

I was so surprised to hear for the first time that some people are afraid of big holidays. Guess what? It is because they treat gift giving as an important social activity in every big holiday and they think it is so difficult to choose a gift for it.

To tell you the truth, with the advent of internet, gift choosing is getting easier and easier as we can type the hobby, preference, age, gender of a person in order to get the options of the ideal gifts from a wide selection of gift baskets which may let he or she happy. What’s more, it is very popular to buy electronics products to the recipient, like a USB thumb drive, earphone, or accessories like cell phone battery and iphone cases. Anyway, it is not a rule for gift giving if the person does not like this type of items. In fact, if you want to send something that is not too personal, a gift of food will work well. And when you choose gifts online, you can select from numerous gifts that features quality, color, design and fame. Gifts can be given with confidence and received with satisfaction if it is based on these elements.

Although gift choosing becomes much easier nowadays with the help of Internet, however, there are still some points to remember.

1.Keep the gift simple. Believe me that a simple gift can come across what you want to say to the recipient. It is known that simplicity is beauty and simple gifts are usually more appreciated. Have empathy before you buy the gift; the person will not be thankful if the gift is a complicated gadget. So you’d better choose a gift that everyone could handle without great effort.
2.Do not try to give gifts that you are hardly sure about. Things like clothes, handbags, shoes, perfumes and cosmetics are the hardest gifts to choose. You do not want to feel embarrassed when giving your gift, do you? For example, not every person likes perfumes. There are people who dislike the smell of perfumes while others are particular about the exact fragrance they like. It will not help if you do not know the preference of the person. By contrast, an alternative like an unique and funny key chain perhaps gets a better result and be more appreciated.
3.Consider the age, gender and status of the person in life. An excellent gift should be an item that fits the status of the person in life. For instance, it is not appropriate to give a student an expensive cell phone while a book is more practical.

Gifts can be given with enough confidence only if you make a great effort before buying. When the recipient gets satisfied with the gift, you will definitely feel that your entire endeavor is worthy and fruitful. If you are always wait for the surprise, smile, and satisfaction from the recipient, just try your best to consider a lot when choosing gifts.

Novelty is absolutely the Best Gift

Have you ever had no idea when selecting gifts in front of hundreds of items in a shopping mall? Did you feel it is terribly difficult each time? Although you have an idea what to buy, yet you still worry that the gift is not attractive and special enough. If now you are thinking about the gifts you bought in the past, I think this article will be of great help for you to choose some novelties.

1.A 3D puzzle ball will keep your whole family entertained even for hours! Tilt the ball bearing through 360 degrees of puzzles and tracks. If you are addicted to puzzles, this will absolutely be a different ball game for you. No matter what you choose, a small or large one, it asks for a lot of you courage and patience. One more thing, remember to leave the door closed, because I am sure you do not want to be complained about your screams and stomps.
2.A Cube is rather popular all over the world. This puzzle game looks like it is going to be every bit as addictive as both the Rubiks Cube and the Sudoku puzzle! As a wonderful gift, it should delight fans of either, and if you happen to be a fan of both, then this will be like a dream come true. Sudokubes make great stocking fillers for anyone who loves a good brainteaser! Anyway, Sudokube is effectively a Rubik's cube, unlike the cubes being made of different colors; it is made of different numbers. It is with the numbers 1-9 on each side of the cube. You play Sudokube in the same way as you play a Rubik's Cube, but you need to get the numbers aligned on each side as you play in a Sudoku grid. And it is this game that makes you really get the best of both worlds.
3.Special iphone 4 case and iphone 3g cases are really thoughtful gifts, in my opinion, for those iPhone 4 users. Choose the cover that is made of quality plastic. It protects the cell phone against unexpected drop, scratch and other potential damages and keeps from direct contact between your hands and reduce the chance of signal loss. Generally speaking, girls like iphone 4 covers with beautiful designs while boys like cool patterns.
4.Stylish slippers. Some stylish slippers are with unique design and patterns on them. For example, the Cow Slippers are a pair of animal slippers in the shape of cuddly cows. Whether you're relaxing in front of the TV or dying to get out of your high-heeled shoes after a hard day at work, these fun lovely slippers will be waiting at your beck and call. Suppose when you give the slippers, the recipient must make a huge smile on the face. The Cow Slippers will keep toes toasty and calves comfortable.

Nothing is more important than the satisfaction that the recipients tell you, so just try to select a novelty for them.
